Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that focuses on examining and changing patterns of thinking and behavior. With an empathic ear, patient education, self regulation tools, mindfulness practices, family systems and trauma informed interventions are utilized. Individuals learn to advocate on their own. Importantly, each individuals strengths and personal goals will be identified to promote meaningful growth, healing and change.
Dr. Williams provides tailored interventions for individuals of all ages. Although she is often sought after to work with children and teens with developmental, neurodivergent and psychiatric challenges, she is equally sought after to work with adults with more typical life challenges.
Dr. Williams has a lifelong passion for improving and supporting the mental health and wellness of all individuals. She has a lifelong passion for working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders across all ages and abilities. She strives to identify each individuals strengths to promote independence and resiliency and to maximize potential. Challenges are addressed through a problem solving framework and a person centered approach.
Dr. Williams is familiar with all parts of the Special Education process. She can walk you and your child through the entire process from the initial referral to Special Education, to review of existing services on your child's education plan at any point and all the way to the transition from secondary education to college.
Psychologists are trained to address social, emotional and behavioral challenges by thoroughly evaluating patterns of behavior, examining the multitude of factors impacting behavior and determining what is maintaining the behavior. When your child works with Dr. Williams, parents and caregivers are directly involved in the process.

Psychologists hold a doctoral degree in psychology and provide therapy and counseling services. Psychiatrists hold a medical degree and are trained to diagnose and treat mental health disorders with medications, in addition to providing therapy.
Office manager will review all payment options prior to first appointment.
Wait list times vary based upon the referral request. Consultation and Supervisory requests have minimal wait time. Wait times to initiate and engage in weekly therapeutic sessions vary based upon current appointments available. Summer usually has slightly less wait time.
We understand that life can get in the way of scheduled appointments. We ask that you provide us with at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Otherwise, you may be charged a cancellation fee.
